I finally found my way into demon territory in ds1 first didnt expect a pack of tarus demons. And 2nd, i find it hilarious the best way to fight the giant lava tentacle dude is to wear his dead sisters clothes while fighting him. It took me like 8 to 9 tries to kill him i just never got down the rolling timing so i literally just punched it out with him XD

Chester uses this so well it's unfair, he even gets a kick for juniper's sake

Getting DS1 on Xbox game pass way back in 2012/2013 changed my life man. I beat it in like a month after coming back a week after quitting and then immediately bought DS2 and played that for 36 hours straight. No game has compared

I got dark souls one in September 2011... Japanese release. A RUclipsr named epicnamebro convinced me to do it. Best decision of my life. Gotta say it added to the vision of the game that I couldn't read anything lol. Also, took lsd the first time I played. I'm one of those weirdos who likes horror dark fantasy stuff while tripping balls it was quite the experience I feel like a real OG for that one. One of the first 10,000 minecraft players too. Those are my two "I was there before it was cool" moments in gaming.

Your gwyndolyn shot did no damage because some ds1 enemies are in an "inactive state" where you can hit them and there's feedback, but they don't take damage until they are aggrod on you.

Demon souls on day one was the real deal not Dark souls. Dark souls was a dumbed down version of Demon souls so you low IQ players could play. 😂

Yep, you're a child of the 2000's :) Never played Rygar(Arcade original - not the console nonsense), Robocop, Ikaruga, Batsugun, Ninja Gaiden, Pac Man, Karnov, Raiden, and many more, before? To the *console* world, Dark Souls was a breakthrough.. not so for veteran gamers (at the time... things have changed since) who preferred to play PC and Arcade games. I love Dark Souls, but even to this day, I can't see what the fuss is about the difficulty/why people were raving about it. It's a normal thing for me(and many veteran gamers). That's what games should be like/used to be like.

the difference between ds2 and other souls are the hitboxes of the weapons. while you get a giant hitbox on a short sword the enemy gets a daggerlike one while using a tree as a hammer. in ds2 the enemy weapons have the same op hitbox like a player weapon. so their attacks are equal to yours. its reminds you to take every attack against you serious. thats one of the best things in the game but players dont get it. thats why every 2nd one doesnt like ds2 at all.

This is really interesting to watch. When i first got the game i didn't have internet and only had the day 1 disk version for a year and a half. I thought most of the stuff you covered i had just miss remembered or a dream i had. Made me feel a lil crazy when i brought up some of the details like the doll's lullaby with friends that played it lol.

honestly I dont remember when I got this game as a kid but it must have been pretty early if I lost a character in depths with hp so low I died to fall damage at full health
